Summary: It should have won some academy awards

This movie is outstanding and very well told. Liam Neeson is fascinating, he should have won an oscar for best actor as well as Geofrey Rush for best supporting actor. This movie is very well acted. The ending was excellent, I enjoyed the whole movie from the beginning to the end. The plot isn't difficult to follow, it's very understandable instead. The story tells about a man from France who was in prison but he escaped of it, and a kind bishop let him live with him even if he was a fugitive. He tried to steal some silverware from the bishop's house, but the bishop found out about it and instead of punishing him, he gave him some silver candles that helped him to be the best major. After that, Javert (Geofrey Rush) who is a prefect looks for him, but he saw him like a major, and nobody believed him that the major was a fugitive from the justice. After several attempts the truth is revealed and the major has to escape again from Javert and look for a little girl who was adopted by a heartless family, he does it because a sick employer pleaded to him to look for her before dying. He found the little girl and took her with him for many years and lived with her in a convent. After she was a young lady she didn't want to be a nun, she wanted to be in love, so she got out of the house and saw a man, and she fell in love with him, but his adopted father (the fugitive) didn't agree, because that was time of revolution and also because he was hiding from the justice, especially from Jarvert. Javert spotted him in the convent and tried to kill him. The revolution took place too and many people got killed and the man who was in love with the girl got very injured, after a while the fugitive had the opportunity to kill Jarvert, but he didn't because of his honor. Javert told him that he would never get rid of him, the only way to get rid of him was his death. Javert got the fugitive (Liam Neeson) in order to kill him, but he didn't, because he realized that the fugitive was a good person who had honor and many qualities, so he kills himself by handcuffing himself and drowning in a lake. At the ending he is free forever and his daughter was happy with his love who was recovering from his wounds. Great movie, you should see it.
